About Us

B&C Consultancy is a proudly Aboriginal-owned consultancy providing culturally safe, evidence-informed services that support children, young people, families, carers, communities and organisations.
Founded by Christine Smith and Belinda Panozzo, our consultancy brings together more than 30 years of combined experience across Child Protection, Out-of-Home Care, Permanency, Disability and Community Services.

We work alongside government agencies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, non-government organisations, foster and kinship carers, parents, extended family members and communities to strengthen relationships, build capacity and support positive outcomes.

Our approach is grounded in cultural safety, inclusion, self-determination, respect and collaboration. We believe individuals, families and communities should be empowered to actively participate in decisions that affect their lives. We recognise the strengths, knowledge and resilience that already exist within children, families and communities and are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for connection, empowerment, growth and lasting change.

Our Story

B&C Consultancy was founded by two proud Aboriginal women who share a passion for supporting and walking alongside children, families and communities. Belinda is a proud Wiradjuri woman and Christine is a proud Kamilaroi woman. Together, they live and raise their families on Dharawal Country and bring extensive cultural knowledge, lived experience and professional expertise to their work.

Drawing on their professional and lived experience of the importance of culture, connection and community, Christine and Belinda established B&C Consultancy to provide culturally safe, practical and meaningful support across the community services sector.

Together, they have worked extensively in child protection, out-of-home care, disability services, permanency support, community development and cultural practice. Throughout their careers, Belinda and Christine have remained committed to advocating for children and families, strengthening systems and supporting communities to thrive.

At B&C Consultancy, our work is guided by the belief that respectful partnerships and culturally informed practice create stronger outcomes for both current and future generations.
