Carer Assessments

“Supporting Safe, Stable and Culturally Connected Care”

B&C Consultancy provides accredited and independent carer assessments to support foster care, relative and kinship care, restoration and guardianship arrangements. As qualified Aboriginal assessors, we undertake comprehensive assessments that consider the strengths, capacity, culture and support networks of prospective and existing carers.
We recognise the importance of maintaining cultural identity, family connections and community relationships for Aboriginal children and young people. Our assessments are conducted in a culturally safe and respectful manner, ensuring recommendations support the best interests of the child while meeting legislative, policy and organisational requirements.

We understand that participating in an assessment can be a significant process for carers and families. Our approach is focused on creating a respectful, inclusive and supportive experience where individuals feel heard, valued and engaged throughout the assessment journey.

Our Approach

At B&C Consultancy, we understand that every child, family and caring arrangement is unique. We work collaboratively with carers, families, agencies and communities to ensure assessments are thorough, balanced and culturally informed.

Our assessments are grounded in evidence-informed practice and guided by a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
